London Showrooms - Key Furnishes

Orange Box – 38 Northampton Road EC1R OHU

Throughout the entire Orange Box showroom, the work tops give the impression that they are incredibly thin, providing a prosperous-looking finish, meeting the companies, and my own, aspirations in designing for the future. This furnishing also meets the tables practical purpose by having an increasing gradient of width towards the centre, hidden from view, providing sturdy and sufficient support.

Brunner- 62 – 68 Rosebery Avenue EC1R 4RR

Brunner have a clear vision of creating fluidity within a workspace, which I wish to incorporate within my Atrium floor plan. All products have a requirement to use a minimum amount of space, to increase the number of people they can accommodate for. Standard office desks are being left behind and are being replaced with more interesting and combined forms, which cleverly enforce and inspire collaborations.

The showrooms signature piece shown on the right, incorporates low walls, to ensure natural light is not cut off. The soft and malleable material used, creates an appealing innervation and accurately represents the products flexibility in usage; varying from seating to desk top, suiting individual users preferences and needs.

Altro Design Centre- 15 Clerkenwell Green EC1R 0DP

Altro highlight the importance of a material furnishings classification in accordance to its purpose. “Altro provide a choice of flooring options, combined with our Altro wall cladding, to deliver a robust and colourful environment for all areas…”.

The existing and contrasting colour scheme which the company experiment with, is a feature that runs along side the importance of all materials also being tough a durable, a factor which I intend to put forward within my own project.
