The Maze of Avant-Garde Amour project is based around designing a retail pop-up store for GUCCI, in collaboration with Alain Ducasse’s soon to be new restraunt.
Following the research studied on Globalisation, the designs concept revolves around the modern diverse woman. Using key imagery inspired from the brands key pieces, which signifies just this, forms and structures will be put in place to create a distinctive environment. Customers will feel rooted and have a sense of identity.
The idea that “romance is dead” will be challenged in this space, with inspiration sourcing from Moroccan Architecture, a local minimilist wedding and Hollisters’ store designs. The retail pop up store will translate a sociable and interactive environment, allowing customers to shop and eat, at the same time as experiencing the intial stages of the brands designs and therefore fall back in-love with fashion.
Overall there will be a romantic, slow pace mood, creating a comfortable and appealing atmosphere, where customers will be able to browse harmoneously. This will be created with the use of yellow lighting and small bursts of vibrant colours against a neutral backround.
